LiveXLive inks multi-year deal with merchandise platform Merchbar

Los Angeles-based livestream and on-demand content platform LiveXLive Media has inked a multi-year deal with artist merchandise firm Merchbar.

LiveXLive expanded into the merch business in October 2020 by acquiring 100% of Addison, IL-based Custom Personalization Solutions.

According to a media release, the partnership will expand the distribution and sourcing of products by LiveXLive’s merchandising business unit, CPS, by giving it access to over one million products from over 35,000 artists’ licensed and/or manufactured on the Merchbar platform.

A new online store will live on LiveXLive platforms.

In its new partnership, LiveXLive joins the likes of Spotify and YouTube, who have both inked deals with Merchbar in the past.

LiveXLive says that products featured in the store will include apparel, vinyl, CDs, collections, posters, accessories and lots more from artists across all genres – EDM, Pop, Rock, Hard Rock, R&B/Hip-Hop, Country and Jazz/Blues, as well as from Sports, TV and Movies and Broadway.

“our new partnership with Merchbar expands LiveXLive’s offering as a one-stop platform to buy merchandise and further support our artists.”

“Our overall flywheel experience – listen, watch, attend, engage and transact – provides subscribers and free users an even more in-depth retail and shopping experience through Merchbar.”
