Lillia Parsa has been promoted to Senior Vice President, A&R at Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG).

Based in Santa Monica, she will continue reporting to David Gray and Walter Jones, Co-Heads of A&R.

Parsa represents a roster of songwriters including Louis Bell, Billy Walsh, Omer Fedi, Blake Slatkin, Nija, Julia Michaels, Cirkut, Brian Lee, Tierra Whack, Lil Tecca, Surfaces, Gracie Abrams and Jimmy Napes.

Upon joining UMPG, Parsa’s first signing was then-aspiring creator Nija Charles, which UMPG now calls “one of the most in-demand cross-genre writing talents”.

With Parsa’s guidance, Nija now has scored several Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 Hits, multiple Grammy nominations, worked with Beyoncé, and recently co-wrote Ariana Grande’s Positions.

Parsa also signed writer and producer Louis Bell, a six-time Grammy Award nominee who has worked extensively with Post Malone, as well as Halsey, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and more.

Earlier this year, UMPG acquired Bell’s catalog including Post Malone’s Rockstar, Better Now and Sunflower featuring Swae Lee, Camila Cabello’s Havana, The Jonas Brothers’ Sucker, and Halsey’s Without Me.

In 2020, Parsa signed and began developing songwriters Omer Fedi and Blake Slatkin who have since earned multiple Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits.

Fedi and Slatkin co-created The Kid LAROI’s Stay with Justin Bieber which is Spotify’s longest-running No. 1 song of the year.

They also teamed to create No. 1 hits Without You by The Kid LAROI, mood by 24kGoldn ft. iann dior, and Lil Nas X’s That’s What I Want.

“It has been such an incredible journey thus far, and I want to thank Jody Gerson, David Gray and Walter Jones for all of their support.”
