American rapper Lil Durk is planning to “offer an IPO” of his upcoming music.
That’s according to Exceed Talent Capital, a company that claims to let artists “create a legally compliant IPO of their work and allows everyone to invest in the talent they love”.
The rapper is teaming up with Exceed for a proposed IPO of his song Bedtime with artist Doodie Lo, alongside exclusive fan access to a custom Grand Theft Auto server.
Exceed said it is currently “testing the waters” to gauge investor interest in an offering under SEC Regulation A or an IPO.
Exceed says that it will offer fans a broad range of investment opportunities not just for music artists but influencers, creators, athletes, and other talents interested in launching SEC-compliant public offerings of their work.
The company added in a press statement, however, that “no money or other consideration is being solicited at this time for the sale of securities, and if any is sent, it will not be accepted”.
Exceed says that its model offers fans a new way to invest in artists in the era of Web3 and that it takes a unique approach to the Web3 space.
“We believe the blockchain is a really efficient way to deliver and authenticate digital assets. We’re not talking about JPEGs that sit in your wallet; in fact, you don’t even need a wallet to participate.”

“We believe the blockchain is a really efficient way to deliver and authenticate digital assets,” Exceed President, Anthony Martini, said. “We’re not talking about JPEGs that sit in your wallet; in fact, you don’t even need a wallet to participate. We’re simply using tokens to deliver assets that people can use in ways they’re already familiar with. Think of it as web 2.5.”
Through Exceed, Lil Durk will offer fans a “Trenches All-Access Pass,” which can be considered an NFT. It provides exclusive access to the private Grand Theft Auto roleplay server custom-built by Lil Durk and his OTF Gaming company.
The server currently has a waitlist of over 15,000. Through the pre-sale, fans will get immediate lifetime access, limited edition in-game wearables, and first dibs on shares from all proceeds of Lil Durk’s song Bedtime.
“Exceed makes it possible for my fans to become part of my team and share in our success together.”
Lil Durk said: “Where I’m from, few own anything. As The Voice of the Trenches and for my label OTF, I’m always looking for ways to expand and give back to my people. Exceed makes it possible for my fans to become part of my team and share in our success together.”
Each Trenches Pass contains a priority list reservation for first dibs on Talentshares for Lil Durk’s planned IPO of Bedtime; instant and lifetime access to the artist’s Premium Trenches GTA server; a Trenches GTA Online Loot Box that contains limited edition in-game wearables from a collection of over 1,000 custom items; and a selection of IRL perks like “one-of-a-kind” physical items, as well as interactions with Lil Durk and VIP designation for in-person events, free concert tickets and more.
He is among a number of artists that are jumping on the Web3 music trend. In partnership with OTF Gaming Co-Founder and former FaZe Clan member Zephyr, the rapper aims to grow the platform further.
“We wanted to create an amazingly refreshing experience for gamers and roleplayers in the RP and FiveM community with a combination of the Gaming Industry and Music Industry,” Zephyr said.
Zephyr is a former member of FaZe Clan, which recently became the first publicly traded Gen-Z influencer company after merging with a blank-check company that valued the business at $725 million.
With OTF Gaming, Zephyr said The Trenches Server “will host regular events and integrate them with both endemic and non-endemic brands in the gaming space to showcase them and have our players engage with their brands/products. This includes digital music festivals and a lot more.”Music Business Worldwide
