Rumblefish was acquired by SESAC in 2014.

Since its acquisition by SESAC, Rumblefish has inked a number of deals. In 2019, it extended its partnership with B2B end‐to‐end digital music service 7digital “help music streaming services to launch and expand quicker.”

In 2018, Rumblefish partnered with Facebook to provide music licensing and administration services for indie publishers.

And nearly a year ago, the company teamed up with Pinterest to provide the social media service with music metadata and license management services.

Elsewhere at SESAC, the company continues to carry out acquisitions to bolster its offerings.

The Nashville-headquartered music licensing/collection society acquired the Harry Fox Agency in 2015.

Most recently, it acquired New York-based content management, analytics, delivery and distribution tech provider AudioSalad in March and Nashville-based music administration organization Music Services in June.

Investment giant Blackstone Group acquired SESAC in 2017.
