Kristof Jansen promoted to Vice President of Believe-owned Groove Attack

Kristof Jansen has been promoted to Vice President of Believe-owned Groove Attack, the former company’s Germany-based distribution brand specializing in rap, hip-hop, and urban music.

Most recently, Jansen served as Director of Repertoire Development for A&R in the rap, hip-hop, and urban genres for both Believe and Groove Attack.

Germany-based Groove Attack was founded in 1990.  The company acquired Rough Trade Distribution in Germany in 2008, and subsequently launched sales-force-for-hire GoodToGo.

Believe acquired Groove Attack GmbH and its subsidiaries  (Rough Trade Distribution, GoodToGo and Justbridge) in 2018.

Jansen has worked with Groove Attack for nearly 10 years.

In his new role, he will continue to report to Thorsten Freese, General Manager of Believe Germany.

Believe announced on Monday (January 29) that in his new position, Jansen will oversee Groove Attack’s operations from the company’s Cologne offices.

Groove Attack’s founder Frank Stratmann will remain with the company, an according to Believe will act as Strategy Director for Artist & Distribution Services at Believe.
