Kobalt signs partnership with Robb McDaniels’ Faction Entertainment

Kobalt has partnered with Faction Entertainment – the artist management company created by INgrooves Music Group founder Robb McDaniels.

Under the deal, Faction talent managers will use Kobalt as their preferred partner for publishing, label and digital distribution services, effective immediately.

As revealed last year, Los Angeles-based Faction has a unique setup whereby artist manager partners receive a chunk of equity in the wider business.

Faction, dubbed a ‘management services’ company, offering managers support with digital marketing and social media, tour marketing, business operations, accounting, HR and what it calls ‘a groundbreaking idea incubator to help managers and artists develop and commercialize new brands and products’.

The aim is to reduce managers’ fixed costs and increase their revenue bases.

“After an in-depth analysis of the marketplace, it is clear that Kobalt has made the necessary investment in its people and infrastructure over the past few years to create the best global partner for our company.”
