Kobalt Label Services signs deal with ex-Gallows frontman Frank Carter

Kobalt Label Services (KLS) has signed a label services deal with Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes.

The deal will cover the band’s debut album Blossom which will be released on August 14, 2015 via their own imprint International Death Cult, with the band retaining full ownership and control of their rights.

The agreement will encompass the full range of services which KLS offers its clients, including digital distribution, physical distribution, marketing, international marketing and synch licensing.

Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes is the new band formed by Frank Carter, formerly of Gallows and Pure Love fame.

Their debut album Blossom was announced this week online.

It was produced by Thomas Mitchener and recorded at Broadfields Studio in the UK.

“Frank is arguably the most amazing active live frontman there is.”

The album follows their debut EP Rotten, which was released in May of 2015.

The lead single, Fangs premiered on the Radio 1 Rock Show as ‘Rockest Record’, and all three tracks have picked up plays on Radio 1.

Blossom will be available in multiple formats including CD, vinyl, and a limited, signed, ‘Hyper Deluxe’ vinyl.

Frank Carter has hand painted 100 unique alternative covers for the ‘Hyper Deluxe’ Vinyl; it will also include a t-shirt, pin and more.

Frank Carter said, “I am very excited about joining forces with KLS at what I believe is a defining moment in my career. After a decade in the industry I have found myself in a position to hand pick the team around me and the opportunity to work with KLS was one I couldn’t turn down. Hard working, diligent, incredibly pro-active and forward thinking — the only company truly ready for the future.”

Vincent Clery-Melin, Kobalt Label Services Managing Director, UK and Europe said, “It’s a pleasure and an honor to work with Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, and ATC management on this release.

“Frank is arguably the most amazing active live front-man there is, and the band’s first album is everything we would hope as fans – direct, uncompromising, visceral and from the heart.

“He is also the perfect artist for KLS; the band are self contained when it comes to making music, creating the art and their own aesthetic, with a DIY ethos and a clear vision of what they want to achieve; and want to retain control of their rights and their destiny. We’re excited to be a part of the next steps of their careers.”
