South Korea’s JYP Entertainment Imperial, and Republic Records are expanding their global strategic alliance to include what they call an enhanced label partnership.

The labels will now collaborate globally across the entire JYP roster on worldwide distribution of artists and catalogs, A&R, marketing, and business development.

The companies originally entered into a strategic alliance in February 2020.

Under the partnership, Republic first worked with multi-platinum selling K-pop superstar girl group, TWICE.

The companies expanded their partnership for the first time in February last year.

The companies note that their alliance “has already proven to be incredibly successfull with numerous JYP artists”, including TWICE, Stray Kids, and ITZY.

JYP Entertainment, Imperial, and Republic Records now aim to “jointly utilize their expertise and resources to strengthen and further promote” JYP artists worldwide.

This collaboration will now include what they call “extensive partnerships” with rising JYP acts, NMIXX, Xdinary Heroes, and more.

JYP Entertainment, Imperial, and Republic Records point to a number of milestones as part of their partnership.

In 2022, for example, Stray Kids’ mini albums ODDINARY and MAXIDENT debuted consecutively at No.1 on the Billboard 200 Chart, and the group has amassed over 4 billion global Spotify streams to date.

This year, TWICE has sustained their record for the most Top 10 debuts on the Billboard 200 Chart for any K-Pop female act, now totaling four.

Amidst their current world tour, TWICE has set the record to become the first female K-Pop act to sell out both SoFi Stadium and MetLife Stadium.
