Joie Manda’s Platinum Grammar Publishing adds three senior hires

Music industry veteran and founder/CEO of Platinum Grammar Publishing, Joie Manda, has announced the hires of three senior positions to the boutique publishing company. Matt Spiller joins as General Manager, Adrian Nunez as Head of A&R and Leetal Nissenbaum joins as EVP of Global Sync & Strategic Operations.

Matt Spiller joined Platinum Grammar Publishing in late 2022 after working at Ultra International Music Publishing for 9 years, where he most recently served as head of publishing and oversaw its operations. Prior to transitioning into the music biz, he worked for accounting giant Ernst & Young.

Nissenbaum has been an integral figure in the sync community for over a decade, representing labels, publishers, artists and writers. She comes from Giant, an Azoff Company, where she served as SVP of Creative Synch.

Prior, she spent eight years as the SVP of Global Synch at Ultra International Music Publishing and Ultra Records, where she serviced talent including Kygo, Maaly Raw, Sofi Tukker, Zaytoven, Wheezy, Louis The Child, Clinton Kane, Chelsea Cutler, Honorable CNOTE, Kaytranada, Diamond Pistols and Pomo.

She’s placed client syncs in films such as Barbie and Creed III, in TV shows including Succession, YOU, The Last Of Us, Euphoria, and The Bear, in video games such as NBA2K, FIFA, Fortnite, Madden and F1 and in Apple, McDonalds, Target, Amazon, Nissan and Pepsi commercials. She founded Ultra’s trailer company UltraViolet and successfully developed the company’s trailer promo division.

Nunez most recently served as A&R, Creative, at Sony Music Publishing. There, he signed talent including Playboi Carti, Yeat, G Herbo, Fivio Foreign, Giveon, the Working on Dying collective (Brandon Finessin, F1LTHY, BNYX, Fax Only), Bugz Ronin, TM88, Ambezza, Mike Hector, Bandplay, DJ Scheme, Leon Thomas, Madlib, Supah Mario, Outtatown and Tahj Money.

Previously, Nunez was Vice President of A&R for Ultra International Music Publishing, Ultra Records and helped to relaunch Payday Records, where his signings included Zaytoven, Maaly Raw, Wheezy and DJ Premier.

Prior to his A&R roles, he served as Ultra Music‘s Director of Business and Legal Affairs and as Manager of Business and Legal Affairs Administration at Sony Music. He earned a J.D. from the Yeshiva University Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and holds a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.

Platinum Grammar Publishing is home to some of the industry’s fastest rising producers including mcvertt who co-produced Lil Uzi Vert’s “Just Wanna Rock” which has amassed over 1.4 billion streams globally to date. Other roster standouts include Lucian, who co-produced Lil Yachty’s “Poland,” emerging Latin producer Yecko (Yovngchimi), along with Lil 88, Soloindawn, and Working on Dying members ilyKimchi and Swaggyono.

Manda and Nissenbaum are based in the company’s Los Angeles office, while Spiller and Nunez are in New York.
