Joel Klaiman named President at Hitco Entertainment

Shortly after leaving his post as EVP/GM at Columbia Records, Joel Klaiman has joined L.A. Reid’s Hitco Entertainment as President.

Based in New York, Klaiman joins the Hitco executive team to help drive growth after the company’s launch in January.

Founded by Reid alongside entrepreneur Charles Goldstuck, the Los Angeles-HQ’d Hitco is primarily focused on the creation, production, recording, distribution and exploitation of recorded music and recording artist services.

Klaiman joined Columbia Records in 2012 and brings over two decades of experience in developing and delivering artists.

Prior to Columbia, he worked at Republic Records as EVP of Promotion and Artist Development, and held stints at Elektra, Sony imprint 550 and Epic Records.

Artists Klaiman has worked with include Adele, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, One Direction, Amy Winehouse, Taylor Swift, Drake, Pharrell Williams, John Legend and Daft Punk.
