Peermusic promoted Jody Farber to Chief Financial Officer, replacing Bill Gorjance, who is stepping down after 20 years in the role.
Farber, who joined Peermusic in 2024 as Senior Vice President, Finance and Strategy, will oversee all financial activities for the company, which operates 39 offices across 33 countries. She will manage global treasury, financial planning, budgeting, accounting, management reporting, and deal analysis while reporting to Chief Executive Officer Mary Megan Peer from New York.
The appointment comes as Gorjance retires from the CFO position after helping triple Peermusic’s revenues over the past decade, the company said.
During his tenure, Gorjance led expansions into Korea, China, and neighboring rights while serving simultaneously as International Vice President of the company’s Classical music division, a role he will continue part-time.
Peermusic Executive Chairman Ralph Peer, II and CEO Mary Megan Peer said: “During his twenty years with Peermusic, Bill has played a pivotal role in our growth and vision. He has been central to our expansions into Korea, China and neighboring rights, all of which have proved to be significant growth drivers for peermusic. His contributions go well beyond the financial and his wisdom has left an indelible mark on our company and writers.”

Gorjance said: “This has been a dream job. I would like to express my gratitude—to the Peer family for entrusting me, to my family of colleagues for being so client-focused and team-oriented, and to our larger family of songwriters, composers and performers for putting their faith in Peermusic.
“I’m proud of the catalog we’ve continued to build, and happy to hand a debt-free balance sheet over to Jody. I have complete confidence in her leadership.”
Farber brings 25 years of experience in accounting, finance, and operations across the music and entertainment industry. Before joining Peermusic, she held senior finance positions at World Wrestling Entertainment, Warner Music Group, and Sony Music Entertainment.
At WWE, she served as Assistant Controller/Vice President, Financial Reporting & Accounting. Her Warner Music career included roles as Vice President of Reporting, Chief Financial Officer and Board Director for Warner Music South Africa, Financial Controller for The Collective, and Director of Finance for the broader Warner Music Group. She also worked in finance at Sony Music Entertainment South Africa and served as Chief Financial Officer for loveLife Trust, an HIV prevention nonprofit in South Africa.

The executive change marks the latest in a month at Peermusic. In January, the company appointed Erik Brataas to the dual role of Managing Director Norway/Head of Northern European Administration, while Paul Smelt was promoted to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer.
The company also recently appointed veteran A&R executive Alex Black as its new Vice President, A&R in the US, and named Dave Ayers as Executive Vice President, A&R, last September.
