Hello! We are currently hiring for a Project Coordinator role at Winspear.

Winspear is an independent record label founded in 2015. We have released albums from Barrie, Divino Niño, Slow Pulp, Video Age, and many more. While the label was founded in Bloomington, IN, we now have team members in LA, NY, and Portland. We are aiming to expand our team in 2023 by filling this newly created Project Coordinator role.

This position will work with other Winspear team members on day-to-day tasks while experiencing the inner workings of a record label. We are a small team and strive to do great work on behalf of the artists we partner with. We’re looking for individuals who wish to gain experience in the music industry and are interested in developing their own skills within our organizational structure. Additionally, we’re searching for multi-faceted individuals who have additional interests in areas outside of music – storytelling, sports, media, writing, photography, art, and anything in between. The ideal candidate should have a passion for learning, critical thought, and creative collaboration. More specific details can be found below.


We’re looking for a candidate that:

Can compose professional emails and manage an inbox

Has an eagerness to learn new job-related skills and information

Can analyze, discuss, and write about music

Has an understanding of different roles within the music industry

Can work independently and self-guide their own projects

Is kind and honest in their interactions with others and in their work


Job roles and responsibilities

Staying up to speed on all label releases and projects via calls, emails, and messages

Relaying information between various team members and scheduling calls as needed

Compiling Release Info and Metadata for Releases (Digital/Physical)

Updating and Submitting Marketing Reports

Outreach and pitching releases to Digital Partners

Outreach and pitching releases to Physical Partners

Building and sending digital newsletter updates

Building social media calendars and scheduling posts

Digital advertising support as needed

Applicants should be familiar with and able to work with online communication tools and software like Dropbox, Slack, and G Suite. A basic understanding of Adobe software like Photoshop or Illustrator is helpful, but not required. Familiarity with Mailchimp and Facebook Business Manager is a plus. Finally, familiarity and excitement for our label roster are always crucial for enjoying the work.


Position details..

Time Commitment: Part-time (20 hours a week) with the opportunity for a full-time position within 6-12 months

Scheduling: We are flexible on the exact part-time schedule, but it is expected that those hours worked would be during regular working hours M-F.

Location: Remote / Opportunity for in-person work in Los Angeles

Compensation: $16/hour
