Warner Music Group – Director, International & Global Commercial Strategy & Operations (US)

Director is sole person acting as a “Chief of Staff” to CEO of International & Global Commercial Services, whose remit includes all non-US & UK affiliates (operations in 35+ markets), Warner Music Classics, WEA, ADA, International Marketing & Global Brand Partnerships

Job Description/ Responsibilities: 

Serves as point person for CEO of International & Global Commercial Services on deal analysis, review of operational issues and special projects

  • Strategic and financial evaluation of any business deals or opportunities (M&A, new market entries, digital deals, artist deals, distribution deals) and operational issues that fall under CEO of International’s remit
  • Conduct quantitative and financial analysis
  • Coordinate with relevant operators and stakeholders
  • Create presentations for communication to executives and Board of Directors
  • Participate in strategy process for new business initiatives or new deals
  • Create presentations for the Board of Directors and for internal and external meetings/conferences
  • Conduct adhoc analyses and presentations for CEO & senior executives

Education/Experience Required/Preferred: 

  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Investment Banking
  • Management Consulting
  • Strategy/Business Development/Operations at a Media & Entertainment, Consumer Products or Technology Company
  • MBA preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a top university
