Warner Music Group – Business Development Manager (UK)

Warner Music Group is seeking a Business Development Manager, who will report to the VP, Head of Digital Strategy & Business Development – EMEA.

This Senior Manager will have responsibility for business development and digital strategy across various digital business sectors, global and regional digital service providers and specific territories within EMEA.

They will provide evaluation and analysis of new and emerging markets and digital services to ensure strong commercial partnerships and revenue growth are delivered for Warner Music Group.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Source, analyse, negotiate and close new business opportunities for WMG.
  • Develop digital revenues within specific EMEA territories (list to be agreed with manager), working with affiliates and licensees as necessary.
  • Within dedicated territorial scope, ensure global partnerships are activated and maximised.  Serve as a point of contact and source of guidance for the local teams.
  • Ownership and relationship management of selected WMG digital service provider accounts; deliver account performance, development and revenue growth.
  • Ownership of select emerging business categories/sectors (list to be agreed with manager).  Ensure affiliates are updated, best practices are shared and local opportunities explored.
  • Support London and NY Business Development teams on global deal negotiations with financial analysis and strategic input.
  • Ownership and maintenance of WMG’s global streaming wholesale ratecard.
  • Closely monitor fast-changing developments in the online digital and social media space and provide recommendations for licensing opportunities, engagement or litigation strategies.
  • Preparation of commercial analysis, market studies, strategy decks and updates.
  • Point of contact with R&A and Finance teams.  Ensure smooth flow of information between departments.
  • Identification of emerging technologies and trends that will contribute to the Company’s digital strategy and revenues.
  • Act as a resource for all EMEA local affiliates, providing guidance, support and expertise.
