Warner Bros Records – Social Media Manager (UK)

Do you understand the value of a unique and fresh social strategy that communicates an artist’s personality and drives engagement? We’re looking for an experienced social media manager to join our team that can ensure our artists have constant and creative presence across their online communities. You will need to be agile and reactive, execute at a rapid pace and exceed your own creative expectations.

Work alongside the respective label marketing team to ensure our artists are represented in a broad range of online and social media environments
To ensure our artists have constant and creative presence within the online space and are actively building and engaging with their fanbase
Champion best practice across the digital marketing sphere, data collection, social advertising, websites & content roll outs

Role responsibilities
  • Ensure artist has a clear voice and presence on all channels with activity tailored to the specifics of each environment
  • Oversee content uploads and fan acquisition to all relevant social properties
  • Work with marketing team to devise strategies for the continual growth of fanbases and connection of these audiences to the artist’s releases in interesting and creative ways
  • Oversee the creation of all current and emerging social channels for new artists once signed
  • Generate copy and content for regular communications to artist’s communities
  • Oversee the updating of marketing assets including relevant banners and visual creative on relevant social properties
  • Assist and advise marketing managers in the optimisation of social media advertising campaigns
  • Work with the creative team to develop new and innovative ways to engage and spread the reach of online fans
  • Liaise with artist management and artist to ensure content and marketing posts in a timely fashion across the full suite of artist properties
  • Provide reporting in all relevant artist and campaign meetings on the growth of artist fanbases, videos and online traction specific to individual environments and as a whole
What we’re looking for:
  • Articulate and linguistically creative with the ability to write engaging copy tailored to each platform in a number of different styles and tones
  • An enthusiastic and innovative thinker with the ability to multitask
  • The ability to plan and implement an ongoing communications strategy both in release periods and when an artist is off cycle in order to engage their fanbase through a variety of content
  • Thorough understanding of all relevant social media sites. A clear knowledge of how to use their functionality to generate visibility and engagement with artists and stimulate fan interaction with both the artist and other fans
  • The ability to communicate well (both verbally and in writing) to relay all undertaken and planned activity
  • Good interpersonal skills in order to work directly with the dynamic personalities of the label and our artists
  • An enthusiasm for music and the social media space
