Description

As a Senior Royalty Analyst, you will contribute to the day-to-day operations within the Royalties Department and be involved in all aspects of music royalties, including the review and coding of agreement terms, processing incoming partner royalty statements, delivering accurate and timely client royalty reporting, analyzing and reconciling advance recoupments and expenses, clearing of suspense accruals and pending items, responding to internal and external inquiries on the accounts, and additional ad hoc projects.


Responsibilities
  • Review, interpret and apply agreement terms for new and existing releases in a timely manner
  • Process artist, producer, and profit split royalties
  • Prepare the appropriate accounting statements as contractually required
  • Review sales, expenses, advances, and recoupments to ensure accuracy
  • Update and analyze unrecouped balances by account
  • Review/analyze/process statement adjustments related to earnings, out of cycle payments, and balance transfers
  • Coordinate the statement review with the appropriate team(s)
  • Maintain reserves
  • Prepare mechanical royalty calculations
  • Field various internal and external inquiries related to assigned accounts

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance with at least (4) years of related work experience
  • Strong proficiency in Word, Excel (Pivot tables & VLOOKUP) and Outlook; database query experience a plus
  • Detail oriented individual with strong organizational and leadership skills that can handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact well with different levels within the organization
  • Ability to analyze and review information from several different sources

$75,000- $80,000
