Summary
Artist management firm seeking a dynamic candidate well-versed in the music industry to be a day-to-day manager. Interface with industry shareholders – record label staff, booking agents, legal teams, business managers, publishers, publicists, merchandisers and other third-party consultants.
Oversee internal communication, workflow and execution between artist and management company’s cross-functional marketing team, which provides in-house services such as A&R administration, physical/digital distribution, event management (experiential and activation), content (creation, production and programming), graphic design, social media, analytics, direct to consumer campaigns, e-commerce, merchandising, business development (licensing, promotional & sponsorship), tour logistics, tour marketing and VIP ticketing.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL DO
- Tour Cycle
- Work with booking agent to negotiate and route tours
- Contract administration and advancing live dates with tour managers
- Staffing of tour and production team
- Collaborate with tour manager to approve itineraries and oversee booking of artist’s global travel – air, hotel, ground transportation, reservations, meetings and any special needs
- Advance shows with artist’s touring team
- Liaise with tour marketing on tour planning, asset development, announce/on-sale rollout, promotional partners, merchandise suppliers and VIP
- Album Cycle
- Set goals for global releases, building out timelines, social and content strategies
- Planning, scheduling and tracking of deliverables
- Coordination with publicist of artist press and promotional schedule
- Disseminate press, radio and sales reports, digital analytics and consumption data (DSPs)to build continual strategies
- Oversee cross-platform digital strategies with Director of
- Marketing social & music partners like TikTok, Instagram,
- Twitter, and YouTube, Apple & Spotify to create campaigns driving awareness and streams
- Interface with merchandisers, labels and third-party partners on e-commerce initiatives, VIP and other direct-to-consumer strategies
- Evaluate brand-building partnership opportunities (sponsorship or promotional)
- Work in tandem with business manager to craft budgets for touring and album recording and promotion-related budgets
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
- 2-4 years of artist management experience
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Superior attention to detail and organizational skills
- Demonstrate the ability to think creatively, three-dimensionally and to tie different pieces if a project together when needed
- Tech savvy command of project management software (Monday/Asana), business software (Microsoft Office suite & Adobe) and cloud-based software (Google Docs/Drive, Dropbox, Box, Zoom…)
- Exceptional grasp of budgeting and use of Excel & Google Sheets software
- Excellent verbal and written communications, interpersonal skills and phone/email demeanor
- Solid understanding of content creation and social media strategy
- Creative-thinker implementing exciting new marketing strategy (exclusive audio and video content, contests) optimized for each distribution network/channel
- Ability to independently carry-out multiple tasks from start-to-finish with the aptitude to anticipate and prioritize
- Proven time management skills that meet tight deadlines and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Great attitude, calm and collective in a fast-paced environment; helpful, friendly and diplomatic
Ability to demonstrate discretion in handling confidential data and dealing with high-level artists and industry executives
