Universal Music Group – PA to Global Head of New Business (UK)

Providing PA support to the Global Head of Universal Music Group & Brands (www.umgb.com/), responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Screening all incoming calls made to the Global Head of New Business
  • Extensive diary management
  • Arranging business travel and preparing itineraries
  • Co-ordination and co-chairing of weekly management meetings
  • Arranging and preparing for meetings on behalf of the Global Head of New Business
  • Designing and creating presentations and video tools for the Global Head of New Business
  • Pulling together report information from the departments and collating into reports and/or presentations
  • Liaising with people at all levels including Executives, Directors, Management, Marketing & Labels
  • Organisation and management of annual global conferences
  • Managing filing, photocopying, typing and general administration
  • Screening all incoming and outgoing post
  • Ticket ordering and distribution of tickets throughout the team for International events and awards
  • Organising & inputting expense claims
  • Managing invoice payment for the team through accounts department
  • Disseminating communications to the business as quickly as possible
  • Responsible for entertainment within the department
Person specification


  • Previous experience of working as a PA at a senior level
  • Previous experience of dealing with senior execs across an organisation
  • Proven organisational & communication skills; gained through the above
  • Proven experience of working in a high-pressured environment
  • Proven experience of working under own initiative and as part of a team
  • Excellent IT skills, especially in Powerpoint/Keynote, Word and Excel
  • Good typing and audio skills
  • Proactive approach to work, able to pre-empt problems before they occur


  • Above experience gained in Music or Media organisation
  • Experience working in / passionate about music
  • Additional Languages (French desirable)
