The A Side: A Day in The Life
This is a fantastic chance to join the vibrant office of Universal Music Publishing Israel. The Music Publishing arm of Universal Music Group.
Working closely with our global roster, in UMP Israel we will look to identify opportunities for our catalogue of songs across all media
In this role you will collaborate with our local team and UMPG colleagues from around the world.
Working with our media and entertainment clients, and managing the company’s license requests and negotiation, you will play a vital part in our growing business.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Main purpose of role:
- To manage the request process required for clearing our publishing catalogue on synch uses across all media types including corporate/internal, online, games, film, TV and advertising
- To negotiate all sync deals, both commercial catalogue and production music, referring to our legal and finanace teams when necessary
- Work globally with our international offices and sub-publishers to clear music in the Universal catalogue
- Work closely with the local performing rights society (ACUM); registering new catalogues, relinquishing old catalogues, settling disputes, and processing royalty distribution
- To pass on monthly deals to finance for invoice and organising royalty income to be processed with our global team
- Build relationships with key clients and maintain a high standard of client relations
- To support the General Manager with ad-hoc projects and administrative duties
Essential qualifications:
- Experience working in the music industry preferably in music publishing, synchronization or licensing
- Reliable, diligent and proactive
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to work under own initiative, prioritise and meet deadlines
- Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills
- Excellent communication skills – able to communicate effectively to colleagues, key internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in Hebrew and English
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
