The A Side: A Day in The Life
This is a unique opportunity to join the vibrant Israel office of Universal Music Publishing and play a vital part in driving all aspects of our business.
We are looking for a self-motivated, eager to learn all-around player who thinks outside the box and has both administrative and people skills.
The key responsibilities of the Israel Administrative Assistant, which encompasses our Licensing, Copyrights, Royalties and Creative business units, are to ensure the efficient and accurate administration and licensing of music on behalf of UMPG’s songwriters.
Whilst confident in dealing with clients and efficient at multitasking, you are also happy to work collaboratively in our work hard play hard environment!
The B Side: Skills & Experience
- Respond to sync licensing requests and log them in
- Handling queries raised by clients, affiliated companies, 3rd parties and collection societies. This will involve both phone work and written responses and will range from simple ownership enquiries through to more complex investigations
- Liaise with local PRO – ACUM and UMPG global office on copyright and agreements matters
- Understand and utilize UMPG’s data system management tools
- Analysis and interrogation of royalty statements
- Work with the label on ad hoc projects
- Oversee the business suppliers’ chain of work
- Support the creation and distribution of marketing materials across different platforms
- for both our Production and Commercial music catalogues
- Attend client events and meetings
- Occasionally attend music gigs
- Help the team with various administrative tasks
Necessary:
- A strong understanding of the music publishing business
- Strong communication skills in Hebrew and English, both written and verbal
- An aptitude for logical thinking and problem solving
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Reliable, diligent, proactive and a good people person
- Well-organised with good attention to detail
- Persistent and results oriented
- Proactive with an aptitude for logical thinking and problem solving
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Desirable:
- Experience in music licensing or sync
- Good understanding of the workings of collection societies worldwide
- Experience in registration of works, adaptation, translation and arrangement requests
- Understanding of business sales, marketing or PR
- Experience in dealing with major broadcasters, advertising agencies and TV production companies
- Interest in digital media and new and emerging technologies
- Ability to create well-written material
- A good eye for design
