Key Deliverables
The Pre-Sales Technical Consultant (PSTC) is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with strong technical skills to join the UK team, working alongside the SVP for EMEIA & MENA to help scale the business and add value to a dedicated and friendly team.
The PSTC will deliver technical and presales activities and transfer industry, technical and product knowledge to customers via good written, verbal and presentation skills. The successful candidate will assist in all levels of technical sales planning and accompany the SVP on customer meetings.
The PSTC will lead and be responsible for providing technical solutions to new & existing customers that are interested in a white-label streaming audio and audio visual solution, streaming service API’s or content delivery services from Tuned Global.
Responsible for driving and managing the technical presales process, the PSTC must be able to articulate the company’s technology and product portfolio, positioning to both business and technical users.
Primarily engaged in securing new business, the PSTC will assist and guide by identifying a customer’s technical and business requirements before delivering an elegant and robust solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend meetings with all potential clients to assist, support & determine technical and business requirements, and ensure that all necessary information is collated accurately on the road to closing a sale.
- The development of formal written sales proposals and tender responses and the ability to present and differentiate product offerings at a technical level from the competition.
- Provide technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes
- Create and confidently deliver technical presentations internally and externally
- Deliver training on solutions and provide product support to customers and internal stakeholders
- Work with Product Management to provide feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products.
- Builds productive relationships internally and externally, fostering teamwork by keeping colleagues updated on activities
- Able to understand business drivers and risks involved to the customer and then sell technical solutions to the customer with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Adhere to the Company’s Quality and Business Processes
- To structure and produce compelling sales proposals/commercial and technical documentation outlining the cost savings and business benefits to clients of using A TG proposition
- Interface with the implementation/delivery team, articulating customer requirements to ensure a smooth sale transition from contract signatory to delivery.
- Able to understand business drivers and risks involved to the customer and then sell technical solutions to the customer with professionalism and enthusiasm
Candidate Profile
- Preferably 5+ years experience working as a Presales Consultant or similar at a SaaS vendor.
- Previous experience in requirements gathering, design and solution building and the ability to replicate this in a commercial setting.
- In-depth working knowledge of API solutions and AWS technologies
- Strong interest in streaming technologies – understanding CDN security is an advantage
- Working knowledge of current security issues and technologies concerning the industry, together with a demonstrable interest in keeping abreast with technical developments in this field.
- A Degree in Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent experience
- Able to show and discuss a range of previous customer solutions and designs
- Ability to develop effective working relationships internally at various levels and work closely with commercial departments such as sales, operations and product.
- Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
- Ability to cope under pressure and prioritize work accordingly.
- Being able to manage ambiguity will be a crucial skill.
- Strong stakeholder management, excellent written skills and an eye for detail/fine print.
- Being able and ready to ‘think on your feet’ and pivot in a timely manner to identify a customer’s needs from the TG suite of services.
- The ability to take complicated products and services and present them easily to customers is an essential skill required for this role.
- Project management experience is a distinct advantage.
