Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Lane 8’s record label, This Never Happened. In just over six years, This Never Happened has become one of the most respected labels in melodic house music. Their roster includes talented artists such as Sultan + Shepard, Le Youth, Jerro, and EMBRZ, along with a growing list of up-and-coming artists. With three albums released by label boss Lane 8, TNH has accumulated over 700 million streams across its catalog. It has also become one of the most playlisted labels on SiriusXM Chill and is regularly featured across key editorial playlists.

This Never Happened is operated in partnership with Involved Group, based in their London offices. Involved Group is home to globally renowned record labels Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, as well as an artist management division called Involved Management. Their roster includes talented artists like Lane 8, Ben Böhmer, Seven Lions, and Dusky.

About The Role

We are seeking a versatile junior product and marketing manager to join our team. In this role, you will provide direct support to the Label & Product managers, assisting with the day-to-day operations of a growing label.

You will be responsible for overseeing assigned releases, ensuring timely delivery to all relevant internal teams while meeting strict deadlines alongside elevating the marketing activities to further promote the label.

This position also requires a strong interest and passion for social media, community engagement, and storytelling, as we continuously strive to create a deeper connection with our fans.


About You

You will already have experience within recorded music business and will be able to hit the ground running from day 1.

You will be ambitious and driven person with the innate ability to work autonomously, independently and, also within a team. The role requires you to prioritise tasks effectively and, at times, adapt your workflow accordingly to meet ever changing deadlines.

You will be a team player in the truest of senses with no job being too big or small. You thrive in a close-knit team environment and aren’t afraid to ask why, or if we can be doing things better.

Perhaps the most important trait of all is that you’re a passionate music fan through and through with a desire to develop acts from root to branch.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and represent acts assigned to you.
  • Oversee, manage and deliver assets to all the relevant teams both internal and external and adhere to strict release deadlines on designated artists.
  • Initiate, plan and coordinate all aspects of Marketing Campaigns for upcoming releases on designated artists and projects.
  • Deal effectively with all production supply chain queries to ensure no impact to release dates.
  • Deal effectively with queries, reporting upwards for assistance when required.
  • Coordinate artist’s / project activities around record releases (press, tools, campaigns, advertising etc).
  • Ensure all information is accurately communicated to all departments regarding strategy, release plans, changes, developments etc.
  • Manage all aspects of product development and marketing from concept to completion on given projects working effectively and timely with internal and external teams.
  • Analyse, generate and distribute analytical project information to all relevant teams including project updates to all sales teams.
  • Write sales notes and press releases.
  • Ability to create and coordinate marketing materials, tools and information required and ensure distribution to relevant parties
  • Initiate, plan and coordinate marketing campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team for upcoming releases on designated artists and projects.
  • Analyse and circulate weekly sales information, identifying trends and communicating this to the wider team.
  • Oversee the social and community strategy across the label’s brand accounts.
