Our client is a music industry disruptor based on its world class SAAS platform technology which delivers revenue loss prevention and optimisation solutions for labels, publishers and artists. We are seeking a dynamic, well-connected and results driven CEO to lead the business in the next stages of its development and expansion.
Working closely with the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will serve as leader of corporate operations, strategy development and execution and manage the overall resources and operations of the business. The successful candidate will have extensive music industry contacts and experience with technology business leadership. Development of a top class sales operation is critical to maximising the potential for our client’s unique and world leading technology. The ideal candidate will have strong corporate management experience and a proven track record in effective team management and results-driven leadership within the music industry, specifically labels, publishers and artists.
Responsibilities will include:
- Direct the company in keeping with the vision set by the Board to grow, strengthen and ensure sustainable long term growth. As the primary commercial face of the business you will represent the company, including attendance at important functions, industry events and public meetings.
- Work closely with the CFO, CTO and the Chair to prepare annual budgets, complete risk analysis on potential investments, and advise on investment risk and return and with Human Resources, regarding hiring practices, payroll and benefit disbursement and oversee quality control throughout the company, setting goals for each business operation in partnership with function leaders.
- The successful candidate must have experience in digital music distribution, working with either major record labels or distributors/aggregators and/or online digital stores, coupled with a working knowledge of managing software development and be capable of overseeing and managing the engineering of software projects and client relations.
