The MID – Venue Marketing Manager (US)

  • Develop, establish and maintain marketing strategies to meet venue objectives.
  • Effective management of the marketing, advertising and promotional activities of the venue.
  • Develop and implement successful marketing campaigns
  • Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional staff
  • Manage the productivity of marketing plans and projects
  • Expand and develop marketing platforms
  • Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results
  • Deliver marketing activity within approved budgets
  • Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels (content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis, etc.)
  • Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals
  • Work closely with and assist designers with new event launches
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives
  • Prepare online and print marketing campaigns
  • Plan and implement promotional campaigns
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns with sales activities
  • Understand and effectively communicate through various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat)
  • Capture and share engaging social media content at the venue night-of-show
  • Proven experience identifying target audiences, creatively devising and leading across channels and marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate
  • Extensive knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Experience creating and optimizing Facebook Ads, Google Ad & Adword campaigns
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
  • Familiar with, and connected to the Chicago nightlife & hospitality industries, as well as the local music scene
  • Discerning taste and sense of aesthetic
  • Passion for great copy and witty communication
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Marketing degree; 1-2 years of relevant experience in the industry.
