The nationally-ranked Bandier Program for Recording and Entertainment Industries at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position to start August 19, 2019.
The successful candidate will teach classes on the modern music industry, ideally with particular focus on the industry’s cutting-edge digital aspects, such as streaming, data, and social media marketing.
Candidates must have significant professional experience in the music business, ideally in sales and distribution to digital services, or as a digital/social media marketer. Regardless of background, candidates will demonstrate:
- Potential to be an excellent teacher
- Potential to be a thought leader in the digital music industry and become a well-known expert
- Communication skills and cross-cultural abilities with diverse groups of students, colleagues and community members.
- Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
