The role


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our small but dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned accountant, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, reporting to the Executive team. As a key member of our organization, working in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial stability and supporting strategic decision-making as we grow.


Financial Record Maintenance:

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including the processing and coding of all Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable transactions, credit card coding and reconciliations, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage and reconcile an individual P&L for each project.
  • Download, analyze and code bank statements and credit card charges across multiple currencies.
  • Process and manage payroll for employees.
  • Prepare and process 1099’s

Financial Reporting:

  • Generate regular financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, providing insights into the company’s financial performance (annual, quarterly, monthly & weekly)
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports for external stakeholders, including tax authorities and auditors.
  • Prepare financial records for tax review and assist tax manager with annual returns.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with management to develop, monitor, and reconcile company budgets.


  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting rules and regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

Audit Support:

  • Coordinate and assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
  • Address any audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.

Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in financial operations.
  • Implement best practices to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Additional experience in the following areas would be beneficial but not required:

Provide support in forecasting financial trends and identifying areas for cost savings or revenue enhancement to assist management in making informed business decisions.

A candidate on the path to CPA qualification / with tax experience would be advantageous but not required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accountant/Bookkeeper, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficient with the Accrual Accounting method.
  • The ability to work in accounting software – Xero – would be advantageous.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, minimum intermediate skills with Excel.
  • Experience working across multiple currencies and knowledge of foreign currency exchange would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Music & Production Budgeting and Tour Accounting is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy.
