Spotify – Global Head of Video Monetization (US)

We’re looking for someone with an established record of global sales leadership and revenue generation who also has a deep interest and passion for online media, music and innovation.

You have an in-depth knowledge of digital video advertising and will be in charge of scaling our Spotify video advertising platform in the marketplace. You also have experience building an innovative Video Ads infrastructure around Content.

We want someone who loves our product, has an in-depth knowledge of the digital video advertising space, clients, and agencies, can build creative, long-term consultative solutions, and guide and motivate a team of high-performing sales leaders. You should be confident without being arrogant, and hardworking while still knowing how to have fun.

What you’ll do:
  • Leading Direct Sales Team Revenue efforts of Spotify’s Global Video product, developing and aligning strategies across Spotify’s 59 Markets
  • Directing and managing Spotify Sales Teams on all aspects pertaining to video, driving yearly video revenue numbers and achieving quarterly/monthly video targets
  • Working with Operations, Product Development, Pricing & Yield, B2B and Delivery teams to introduce and refine video products which align to global and/or regional market demands
  • Collaborate with Programmatic team on Video strategies for SSP’s, DSP’s & Trading Desks.
  • Working with Product, Tech, Content & Editorial teams on building a Monetization engine for Acquired & Original Video Content
  • Work from our office in New York
Who you are:
  • You have strong agency, client, and vertical relationships across global
  • You have a deep understanding of sales leadership and new business experience, essential within digital media and television. A broad network of contacts across digital and television/broadcast would be a significant advantage.
  • You have deep knowledge/experience within programmatic video as well as the programmatic value proposition
  • You have experience in building video upfront deals and large budget content creation responses
  • You have a deep knowledge of online video distribution specifically advertising and branded content
  • You are creative and forward thinking, with a strong awareness of technology, video and digital solutions
  • You have a excellent track record in building video upfront agreements with agencies and direct advertisers
  • You are entrepreneurial with strong time management and organisational skills to maintain own work-flow and meet deadlines
  • You have the ability to lead and manage projects effectively across multiple business functions
  • You have a BA/BS, this is required
  • You have 12+ years in digital advertising sales experience
  • You have 6+ years of experience within the Digital Video Advertising space
