The Music Creative Development team’s role is to drive a cohesive music storytelling strategy across Spotify’s existing and future content formats to drive consumer engagement with our Music content. In partnership with our production, distribution, and marketing teams, we bring content to life that helps build our Music Content Brands, while opening up new opportunities for our Artist Partners!
You will be responsible for developing compelling audio and visual design and content to support our Equity programs, as well as increasing the distribution of creative assets across on and off platform surfaces. As an insatiable consumer of Music and culture, you will bring an attention to detail and ability to execute cross-functional projects to drive the creative vision but project manage initiatives through execution. This role bridges Music, Brand & Creative, and Marketing.
What you’ll do
- Lead conceptualization, execution, launch, and maintenance of social & equity focused campaigns in collaboration with their program leads
- Handle all creative elements of integrated Social & Equity focused Music campaigns including branding, design, campaign assets, and creative content development
- Work with internal and external brand, creative, and design partners to lead design and Art Direction for OOH, editorial, and social assets
- Act as main point of contact for Brand & Creative and Marketing partners, as well as external agency partners for creative deliverables
- Coordinate between external creative agencies or contracted designers and internal Music team partners
- Develop creative content concepts for existing and upcoming equity programs such as Frequency and EQUAL, across multiple channels, to drive awareness, reach new audiences, and help drive Equity programs’ goals
- Project manage a variety of campaign components including video, editorial, social, web builds, shoots and more
- Collaborate with Leadership across Artist Partnerships, Editorial and Global Music Programs, as well as project stakeholders to ensure day-to-day progress towards deadlines and key campaign milestones
- Coordinate between Artist Relations, Content, and Legal team members to complete term sheets, artist contracts, and necessary clearances
- Collaborate with International Music Stakeholders to identify creative opportunities for multi-market or local creative adaptations
- Act as central figure in the long term development of Spotify-owned equity brands
- RFP & onboard agencies as needed
- You will work out of our Los Angeles, CA office
Who you are
- 5+ years of related experience as a project manager for integrated campaigns that include video, editorial content, social, web builds, digital advertising, or similar
- You’re passionate about making the music industry more equitable for all; previous experience with pro-social projects a plus
- Highly proficient in setting and maintaining timelines, as well as project milestones
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple vendor relationships and defining a partner roster
- Understanding of project management and production timelines for all creative verticals – video, social, digital, media etc.
- Ability to quickly learn and onboard onto new culturally relevant campaign work
- Interest in developing new and effective processes and systems
- Passion for finding the most efficient way to produce any given concept or idea
- Deeply demonstrated knowledge of music and culture
- Past experience booking creative contractors and designers at advertising agencies
- Bring wide range of creative connections in design and art direction
- Background in experiential, tech, advertising, marketing, or similar field
