SoundCloud – Creator & Listener Marketing Lead (US)

The SoundCloud brand marketing team is currently seeking a Creator & Listener Marketing Lead to support the strategy, creation and execution of brand and product-specific marketing campaigns. This role will lead all Creator and Listener marketing initiatives, managing multiple aspects of the development and activation of campaigns and coordinating execution across channels, supporting business growth objectives focused on brand equity, awareness, and revenue.

As a key stakeholder in the development of SoundClouds brand marketing plans, he or she will champion cross-functional communication across advertising/paid media, in-product messaging, social media, content development, experiential activation, and any marketing partnerships to ensure consistent and coherent execution.

The Successful Candidate Will
  • Drive strategy and development of creator & listener marketing initiatives across the SoundCloud ecosystem
  • Champion our brand voice and personality, ensuring it is consistent across all consumer-facing channels and touchpoints
  • Collaborate with brand, product, creative studio, artist & label relations, insights, PR and growth marketing teams to drive the development of marketing plans and campaigns
  • Drive the strategy and creative development for creator and listener marketing channels, including but not limited to content and campaign development across blog, social media, email and in-product communication
  • Help define and deliver on key marketing calendar milestones
  • Assist in go-to-market tactical execution & reporting on all creator and listener initiatives
  • 10 years experience in a brand marketing position, including team and people leadership
  • Prior experience working in music, entertainment or technology verticals strongly preferred. Prior experience with digital subscriptions a plus
  • Deep understanding of cultural trends and the music space – fluency in hip hop and DJ culture a must
  • Experience managing and owning cross-functional team collaboration and processes
  • Demonstrated excellence in written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience utilizing new and emerging technology and a passion for music
