Songtrust is seeking a Global Publishing Coordinator to join our Global Publishing Team. Reporting to the Associate Manager of Global Publishing & Society Relations, this role will be responsible for supporting and executing a range of administrative and operational tasks related to global music publishing administration of Songtrust’s songwriters and musical works, including song catalogue management, catalogue audits, works registrations, letters of direction (LODs), counterclaims at European Societies, and other business processes that deliver the highest value and quality of service to our creator customers and partners.

This position will be located in London, UK (remote work from within the UK may be considered as well).

What you’ll do: 
  • Register catalogue agreements with our European Rights Society partners based on priority
  • Assist with catalogue audits, verifying that works registrations are accurate and complete, and coordinating with the
  • Copyright Team to resolve inaccurate, incomplete, and missing registrations
  • Amend and update catalog information as requested to ensure accuracy and compliance with defined standards
  • Create Letters of Direction (LODs) for Priority Clients
  • Assist with Counterclaims at European Rights Societies
  • Work with the Copyright Team to establish, test, and execute Agreements for newly onboarded CMOs, and resolve any Society issues that negatively impact catalog delivery and ingestion
  • Support internal and external rights holders and partners (PROs, DSPs, etc.) to ensure that rights-related issues are resolved quickly
  • Support the processing of various client document submissions including setlists, cue sheets, etc.
  • Collaborate with rights management, business, technology, and product teams to provide superior service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Comply with company and industry standards and best practices
  • Contribute to the documentation of departmental workflows, business processes, diagrams, user guides, and SOP
  • Contribute to the user testing of new and upgraded rights administration products, services, and tools
  • Support various administrative tasks as requested
  • Share knowledge and promote the professional growth of team members through collaboration and mentorship
You are / have: 
  • Prior experience working at a music publishing company (copyright/admin department) or a music business degree (preferred but not essential)
  • Basic knowledge of at least one Performing Rights Organization (PRO) and/or Collective Management Organization (CMO) (preferred but not essential)
  • Skilled with Excel or Google Sheets
  • A critical thinking problem-solver with tenacious focus on accuracy and precision
  • You have a passion for music and a desire to continuously learn about global copyright and publishing administration
  • A self-starter that enjoys seeking solutions and sponsoring initiatives
  • Must be proactive in identifying, solving, and mitigating process, communication, and information issues and risks
  • Must be proactively communicative and possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English
    We’d prefer if you have:
  • Experience working with Vistex Music Maestro Rights Administration Platform
  • Experience working with Airtable
  • Experience with data and/or music data
  • Experience with another language (bonus points for French)
