Job Summary

Sentric Music Group is looking for a Business Development Executive with music publishing experience and a network of music industry contacts across North America.

Backed by cutting-edge technology and an experienced international team, the Business Development Executive will focus on building new client relationships and generate business & partnership leads.

Based in New York or Los Angeles, the Business Development Executive will be a core member of our US branch, which has plans for significant team expansion in 2020/2021. International travel may be required following the ease of pandemic travelling restrictions.

The company handles copyright and royalty administration for a large client base consisting of songwriters, record labels and music catalog owners. The Business Development Executive will be instrumental in achieving our goal of offering fair and transparent publishing solutions to the global music industry.

Job Description
  •  Identify prospective US clients and catalogs using personal network and wider industry connections and attending industry events (once pandemic circumstances allows).
  •  Generate leads for new business opportunities, partnerships and acquisitions. Work closely with Sentric UK and US team members, evaluate opportunities and model business proposition.
  •  Drive the whole cycle from initial contact through to deal negotiation and agreement signature, with support from wider business as necessary.
  •  Work closely with Client Management team to ensure that client service objectives are clearly set and delivered on, while maintaining own client relationships, coordinating high-level service.
  •  Develop ways to monitor progress, monetary value and status of own business leads, deliver reports to CEO and wider business as required.
Qualifications & Experience
  •  Preferable BA degree or equivalent qualification. Music Industry or Business studies are meriting.
  •  Working knowledge of music publishing, neighboring rights, copyright and licensing is essential.
  •  Experience in a B2B music business sales environment is highly meriting.
  •  An advanced understanding of technology/software is meriting. An adept user of Microsoft Office.

Employment package
