Position Summary

As part of the Projects department, the Project Manager, Catalog will work closely with Production, Marketing, Retail, Direct-to-Consumer, A&R and Creative teams across physical and digital opportunities for the Secretly Group (Dead Oceans, Jagjaguwar, Saddest Factory Records, Secretly Canadian) catalog. Additionally, this role will work closely with artist alumni, providing support as needed.

This role will report to the Director of Projects, North America and can be based in Bloomington, Brooklyn or Los Angeles.


Responsibilities
  • Project manage and coordinate physical and digital campaigns for catalog releases, including special reissues and archival back catalog releases
  • Oversee all core aspects of catalog campaign releases: manage production deadlines, assist with coordinating assets, and serve as the primary operational point of contact and advocate for catalog releases
  • Develop expertise on Secretly Group catalog artists, including their past releases, stories, and fanbases
  • Provide support for alumni artists as needed
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams to identify catalog priorities and relevant marketing opportunities
  • Coordinate catalog production and work closely with Marketing and Inventory teams on catalog represses, including new vinyl variants of key catalog titles for retailers, record clubs, D2C and international programs
  • Work closely with a dedicated Podcast team across operations and rollout strategy, including release planning, recording logistics and asset coordination
  • Identify and organize archival assets to be leveraged across social media, digital and creative marketing
  • Develop and manage budgets as needed, and measure effectiveness of campaigns to make informed recommendations
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing team on DSP marketing and support for anniversaries and new catalog releases
  • Liaise with D2C/Marketing teams on campaign initiatives and strategy for catalog releases
  • Identify opportunities for independent retail programs and price campaigns on overstocks and back catalog
  • Investigate new opportunities to promote Secretly Group catalog and reach audiences through new technologies, cultural moments, partnerships, etc.

  • Exceptional teamwork, organization and time management skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate independent thought and action while operating in sync with a larger team
  • Understanding of the independent retail landscape strongly preferred
  • Aptitude for working long-lead projects
  • Ability to manage and meet strict deadlines
  • Effectively manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Knowledge of and enthusiasm for the Secretly Group catalog
  • Background of 2-4 years in music industry preferred

New York Salary Range: $65k
Los Angeles Salary Range: $60k
