Hours: 40/week, Monday – Friday, 9am-6pm

Position Summary:

The Planning & Initiatives Director position will work directly with the COO and Co-CEO, to evaluate Secretly Distribution’s business opportunities and operational needs, providing actionable insights with respect to its priorities and business planning. The role will also help manage and oversee new business initiatives, including communication of initiatives to key stakeholders as well as management of integration with existing systems.

  • Collaborate with the COO, Co-CEO and senior managers to identify and help pursue business development opportunities and to identify and help address operational needs
  • Identify, recommend, and help implement new plans, processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational and operational processes, globally
  • Make key decisions on behalf of the company and to oversee budgets
  • Create and maintain reports to track progress of key initiatives for the COO, co-CEO and other key stakeholders
  • Partner with C-Suite executives around decision making, manage departmental budgets and oversee hiring where necessary
  • Play a role in evaluating Secretly Distribution’s strategic direction by conducting rigorous industry research and analysis, and presenting relevant analyses and insights with actionable recommendations to senior management on a regular basis
  • Create materials to communicate initiatives to key stakeholders in a visually clear and stimulating manner
  • In partnership and under the direction of the COO and Co-CEO, directly manage new initiatives or directly assist other senior managers in their management of new initiatives
  • Develop a broad understanding of the roles and procedures of Secretly Distribution, and utilize operational experience to temporarily support specific teams

  • Previous proven experience of working successfully with an international remit
  • Experience of, and ability to quickly understand existing processes and systems, digest thoroughly, and propose and implement effective improvements

  • Experience creating, running and working with multiple budgets
  • Commercial awareness and ability to identify new opportunities
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of established teams
  • An entrepreneurial and flexible approach with an active interest in building the business
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships

  • Strong presentation skills
  • Capable, confident and comfortable with all aspects of music distribution operations
  • Willingness and ability to travel and spend time in remote locations
  • Ability to provide accurate and timely results under tight schedules and while managing multiple priorities
