Position Summary

Rhymesayers Entertainment is seeking a well-versed e-commerce and physical distribution leader to join our Label Services team. This role is responsible for managing staff members and leading the performance and oversight of Rhymesayers’ e-commerce and physical distribution operations, tech infrastructure, 3PL partner, forecasting, production timelines, fulfillment, customer service, and other operating activities while being the main point of contact with key partners and vendors.

This actively involved position will be crucial to the continued success and growth of our artists and label by managing all e-commerce and physical campaigns through their full lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the e-commerce D2C and physical distribution verticals for the business – including 3PL performance, fulfillment demand planning, product forecasting, production delivery timelines, inventory lifecycle, customer service, data/analytics and techstack platform management
  • For Physical Distribution partners: Lead team to set up physical product order quantities globally by territory, ensure One Sheets for sales solicitation are complete, ensure distribution information is updated with campaign assets
  • Work with the RSE marketing and label services teams to build retail relationships with top sellers by territory globally to maximize sales
  • Lead product launch strategy with proper customer targeting for new and seasoned products for all D2C and physical distribution campaigns including seasonal sales and evergreen products in collaboration with the RSE marketing team
  • Manage the performance and execution of RSE’s 3PL partner, retailers, and other business development opportunities in the e-commerce space to maximize efficiency, revenue, and net profit
  • Build and manage projections and financial models to measure the performance of the physical catalog along with all physical D2C and distributed products
  • Manage oversight of forecasting and projections with the Creative and Label Services teams to maximize revenue for the catalog and hit target profit margins in line with the Rhymesayers pricing grid
  • Set and promote high standards by being a strong communicator, product expert and team player with a laser focus on quality, customer experience and effective processes
  • Strategize and lead all aspects of discounts and catalog sales in coordination with Finance department, VP, Marketing & Label Services, and COO to ensure availability and sell through of physical products
  • Negotiate terms with vendors, approve discounts and store sales in coordination with RSE’s CEO and Finance department Collaborate with Rhymesayers’ Artist Services and Creative teams to bring new products to market and ensure products are properly forecasted, budgeted, with a focus on maximized performance with Rhymesayers’ Product and Inventory Manager
  • Collaborate with Rhymesayers’ Digital Production and E-commerce Manage to implement an appropriate technical infrastructure for RSE’s webstores
  • Direct and review work, troubleshoot challenges, and provide feedback for the label services team in the e-commerce and physical distribution space
  • Build data and analytics systems to measure the product and inventory lifecycle of all RSE physical products by defining KPIs and the mechanism to measure the health of this vertical.
  • Oversee the customer experience through management of the Label Services team including customer journey, D2C packaging, shipping timelines and costs, customer service processes and communication
  • Identify new business opportunities and influence innovation and process improvement initiatives beyond current organizational thinking.

Desired Skills and Experience
  • 7+ years of e-commerce leadership experience (Experience in leadership roles is preferred, but equivalent accomplishments demonstrating exceptional e-commerce skills and knowledge will also be considered.)
  • Strong Understanding of the 3PL, D2C, sales, and inventory management landscape and tech infrastructures
  • Expertise in Shopify Plus infrastructures, account management, and physical product forecasting to maximize revenue and net profit
  • Project management experience including cross functional team process development
  • Knowledge base and familiarity with global physical distribution operations and mechanics
  • Experience in aggregating and analyzing data sets to make business decisions centered on performance
  • Proven ability to lead teams, setting objectives for business segments, and creating process and efficiency for scalability
  • Ability to model positive energy and handle stress in the face of challenges, deadlines and financial pressures
  • Excellent ability to organize, prioritize, and multi task
  • Can push self and others to achieve and excel in a fast-paced dynamic environment, while being empathetic and people centric
