Leading independent music company Reservoir has an immediate job opening in the Recorded Music Royalties department. We are looking for candidates who are self-starters, tenacious, accurate and consistent in their work always, and understand the importance of clean data as it relates to master royalties

Responsibilities:
- Manage overall recorded music royalty statement ingestion process into royalty system
- Directly handle the integration and companywide implementation of a brand-new royalty system
- Identify source of incoming payments and retrieve statements from corresponding portals/emails
- Maintain and update royalty tracking sheet on a consistent basis
- Assist with income statement mapping in internal royalty system, ensuring the use of proper products/asset titles, artist/producer royalty rates and deal terms
- Process mechanical royalties and facilitate payment delivery to publishers/royalty recipients
- Onboard and support artist & producer clients with portal access to retrieve their royalty statements
- Handle and execute royalty distributions for quarterly, and semi-annual payment periods
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years of label experience in a royalty capacity
- Bachelor’s degree (music business or related field preferred)
- Self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to handle high volume of data-input with accurate execution
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior experience with royalty data processing systems (not required but preferred)
- Existing relationships with recorded music royalty vendors
- Technological understanding of recorded music royalty workflows, royalty components of recordings, and industry standards (DDEX)
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook,) with strong Excel skills highly preferred
- Handles and safeguards highly confidential and sensitive or proprietary information
- Ability to adhere to deadlines and execute on tasks that involve multiple, diverse assignments while producing quality work
- Genuine interest in music and the music industry trends, and development
