The Position
This position is currently part-time and may convert to full-time as the workload increases, if mutually desired. The role reports to the VP, Business Development & Operations, and is based in Reservoir’s New York office. Reservoir employees work on a hybrid in-office schedule. This is not a remote position.
The primary focus of this position will be record label rights management, including music metadata sourcing, ingestion, and maintaining data integrity across all of Reservoir’s recorded music catalogs and systems to optimize monetization. It includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
- Research and enhance recordings metadata to add value to newly acquired catalogs
- Identify and correct data quality issues in legacy music catalogs
- Build new products in label content management system and contribute to distribution through the digital supply chain
Requirements
- General understanding of the recorded music industry and digital media
- Working knowledge of metadata standards for DSPs and neighboring rights organizations
- Experience with industry content management systems such as OpenPlay or FUGA a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple simultaneous activities • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Passion for music and technology
Compensation
An hourly compensation of $20 per hour, with expectations of a 20-30 work week, will be offered to the successful hire.
