Our current music editor is off travelling in August after being part of the team across the past three successful years, so we’re seeking someone to step into this key role.
RotD is coming up for its 15th anniversary, and we’ve more subscribers then ever before. Recent testimonials suggest that the industry pays close attention to our editorially-chosen track each day, and we’ve had endless proven results over the years.
We need someone who understands the evolving way an artist develops their career, the streaming and radio environment, and can reflect that in the five weekly selections.
Being well connected will be a big advantage.
There’s also our popular Media Mongrel section in the magazine to contribute to, which features comment, opinion, analysis and gossip from the week in the business.
This isn’t necessarily a full-time role, although we’ve sketched out plans for a spin-off publication that may make it full-time.
There are plenty of events, gigs and meetings you’ll be invited to, all of which will help keep us central to the many facets of the business.
We have an office in Walthamstow, but there’s rarely need to be there if you don’t want to be.
