Pulse Records – Director, Digital Marketing
PULSE Records seeks an experienced digital marketing executive with a proven track record marketing artists across a variety of genres. The Director, Digital Marketing will work closely with the Marketing PM to inform digital marketing strategy and keep our artists on the cutting edge of culture and technology.
Job Functions
- Build and execute the digital and social aspects of an artist release campaign alongside Marketing PM, taking into account the overall artist and campaign goals.
- Competitive research on viral trends, campaigns or new platforms/partners to inform Pulse marketing strategy and keep our artists on the cutting edge of culture and technology.
- Responsible for cultivating an engaged fan base for artist roster across all social profiles, CRM (text/email), fan clubs (Discord, etc), D2C and any other digital tool or platform that may enhance artist marketing.
- Create digital and social media best practices resources for artists & managers to refer to and utilize.
- Proven success creating and running fan growth strategies to build artist profiles and CRM using content strategy, gated campaigns or paid media strategy.
- Run, optimize and provide strategy for all digital advertising campaigns based on the goals and objectives of the Marketing PM and overall campaign.
- Have and manage excellent relationships with key digital accounts ie TikTok, Meta, Snapchat, YouTube, Twitter, etc in order to secure promotional opportunities, partnerships and latest best practices for Pulse artist roster.
- Identify content needs for digital and social campaign rollouts ie video/photo content, short-form video content, website updates, and all other content as needed for successful digital marketing campaign.
- Discover new platforms, outlets, influencer accounts to promote artists and maintain relationships with key sites, influencers and partners.
- Continuously innovate & find new ways of bringing artists’ vision and narrative to life within the digital space.
- Possess, build and manage your rolodex of influencers and influencer agencies to draw upon as needed for artist campaign promotions. Ideation of successful influencer campaigns will be a joint effort between digital and Marketing PM, with the digital team responsible for executing.
- Content seeding and narrative building with key social platforms.
- Research and daily analysis of artist communities, fan sentiment/requests to create a comprehensive understanding of an artist’s fan base for optimal marketing.
- Analyze success and effectiveness of promotions, paid media campaigns, social engagement and partnerships and provide learnings that will inform future campaigns. The ability to translate these analytics into simplified takeaways for artists, managers and other departments is key.

Salary + Benefits
- $90,000/year – $100,000/year
