About this Job
You will:
- Work with Writers and Creators to onboard them effectively and gather the necessary data on the works they have created.
- Maintain up-to-date records for all Prisma Music Publishing writers, including contact details, payment information, and royalty status.
- Manage detailed song registration processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Analyse writer and publisher royalty data and income, providing actionable insights.
- Organise and maintain Prisma Music Publishing documents and contracts, including writer contracts.
- Process and analyze royalty statements using industry knowledge.
- Assist in preparing royalty statements and reports.
- Verify song registrations with collective rights organizations (e.g. MLC, ASCAP, PRS etc.
- Identify opportunities for more effective administration and management of repertoire.
- Provide guidance and education on music publishing matters to colleagues.
- Support the decisions regarding software and admin providers.
- Work closely with the Catalogue Admin Manager to provide a joined-up solution to managing Prisma’s assets and rights.
- Support efforts of other teams such as Neighbouring Rights.
Skills and Experience
- A self-starter with a strong ambition to contribute to and execute the company’s growth strategy.
- 5+ years of experience in music publishing rights administration, including CMO registrations and/or collections.
- Passionate about music with a deep understanding of royalty flows in t publishing industry.
- A proactive and enquiring mindset, keen to learn new skills beyond immediate responsibilities.
- Hands-on experience across a full spectrum of music publishing administration tasks.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to draw meaningful insights from data.
- Knowledge of digital music tools and familiarity with music file format
- Experience with rights management software (e.g. Music Maestro or similar music publishing administration software).
- Experience with the Mechanical Licensing Collective is desirable.
