Prescription PR will celebrate its 10th birthday in 2020. We’ve worked extremely hard to develop a client roster that represents our passion for a multitude of genres. Our recent label clients include the likes of ANTI-, Council, FatCat, Frenchkiss, Gearbox, International Anthem, Merge, Moshi Moshi, Partisan, PIAS, Polyvinyl, Saddle Creek, Sony BMG, Speedy Wunderground, Sub Pop, Universal, Warp and more.
We have an opening for a music publicist to join our team in Cambridge.
The key role of this position will be print and online campaign management with some office admin – including maintaining and updating our social media profiles, scanning clippings and being first point of contact for incoming calls. Candidates will preferably have existing experience and be enthusiastic about a wide range of genres.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong familiarity with a range of digital and print media
- An understanding of social media
- Willingness to attend events and meetings outside of regular office hours
- Keen enthusiasm for and broad knowledge of music
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- 2+ years’ experience of independently planning and managing press campaigns for artists at varying levels
We’re looking for someone with passion and energy that will fit into our core PR team of four and head up their own campaigns. They would be expected to look to generate further new business leads also.
We are based in Cambridge — our office is just a 10-minute walk from the train station. Free parking is also available outside the office.
