What you’ll be doing…
An exciting opportunity has opened up within the Communications team to support PPL’s events and outreach activities primarily across the music industry.
The Events and Marketing Executive will report to the Senior Events and Outreach Manager and will support the development and delivery of PPL’s overall events and engagement strategy, taking into account PPL’s priorities, business objectives and stakeholder relationships.
The role will also support the development and execution of outreach activities as appropriate, including panels, presentations, conferences and live music showcases. External events focus on raising the profile and awareness of PPL within our member, influencer and media communities giving them an opportunity to meet with us face to face and learn about PPL. For example – working on PPL’s activity within festivals such as The Great Escape, and working on PPL’s support of industry awards such as the AIM Awards.
In this role you’ll be providing operational and administrative support to the Senior Events and Outreach Manager for all PPL events. You’ll be dealing with enquiries, liaising with partner event teams, monitoring attendance levels and communicating with relevant internal parties. There is a strong project management aspect to the role as well as key exposure to senior executives and industry figures.
What you’ll need…
For this role, we’re looking for a self-starter who has infectious enthusiasm and the ability to work effectively within a team as well as on their own initiative. We need a great communicator at all levels and someone who has the ability to adapt style to suit the audience.
Music industry events experience is highly desirable, as is the ability to build relationships and deal with people at all different levels. You’ll need experience of working to deadlines, juggling multiple projects and have excellent time management skills.
