Role Description
A PledgeMusic Artist & Label Relations Manager sources long-lead pre-order project leads via a wide variety of relationships & research tools. They should have strong existing industry relationships & develop strong new relationships with artists, labels, managers, lawyers, distributors among many other related tastemaker contacts.
They will demonstrate thorough understanding of PledgeMusic’s product line and value proposition. The candidate must be organized and maintain an ongoing detailed assessment of leads and maintain a constant pipeline of qualified prospects. Critical to collaborate with assigned Campaign Management Team and Merchandising on Product Mix to secure successful campaign launches and ongoing storefronts.
Responsibilities
The Artist & Label Relations Manager must be able to sell the vision of PledgeMusic. They should pro-actively source leads, discuss in detail the benefits of the platform, gather needed project information, build an appropriate Product Mix and successfully launch the campaign in partnership with the assigned Campaign Manager. The ability to use own initiative is a must and the capability to Multi-Task with patience is also a must.
The ideal candidate would be well connected, confident, organized & sharp. They would have an outgoing personality with excellent spoken/written communication skills. They should be able to quickly understand the multiple layers of PledgeMusic & a successful campaign.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in an Artist & Label Relations role, A&R role or comparable music industry role for a minimum of 3 years
- Strong connections within industry with labels, managers, lawyers and associated
- A confident communicator who is driven and passionate to succeed
- Excellent teamwork, collaboration, communication, problem solving, organizational, presentation & follow through skills
- Strong music genre, product & business knowledge; Passion for Music
