Position
The A&R Manager will identify, sign and nurture new talent and support the creative process of our existing artists across the companies in-house label division, including the Play It Again Sam, [PIAS] Recordings, Different Recordings and [PIAS] Électronique imprints.
Key Deliverables
- To sign, develop and break artists across [PIAS] inhouse imprints
- To play a pivotal role in developing the rosters and culture of Play It Again Sam, [PIAS] Recordings, Different Recordings and [PIAS] Électronique imprints.
Key responsibilities include
- Discovering and signing new artists to the Recordings division of the [PIAS] group
- Supporting the writing, recording, production, mixing, and mastering process for new and existing artists
- Commissioning remixes and additional content
- Working with our new and existing artists to develop a clearly defined long-term vision for success
- Planning and executing artist development and creative strategies
- Aiding in the commissioning and delivery of compelling creative
- Effectively communicating the vision of our artists to internal and external partners
- Offering A&R support to [PIAS] Recordings international signings
- Other roles and responsibilities which may arise which would reasonably be expected of the position.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in A&R and artist development
- A broad genre-base of professional experience across pop, electronic & dance, rap and indie/alternative
- A strong understanding of the deal making process
- Established relationships with managers, publishers and lawyers
- Good knowledge of writers, producers and mixers working across a range of genres
- Experience of having worked collaboratively with marketing teams on internationally successful campaigns
- Sound understanding of the international music market
- Tech and music savvy
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the recording process.
