Peermusic was founded over 90 years ago and is the largest independent music publisher in the world with 34 offices in 30 countries. We are looking for an Income Tracker/Data Analyst based in Los Angeles, CA. You will work closely with the Head of Global Administration and the rest of the Global Royalty Team to ensure prompt and accurate royalty accountings for our family of songwriters worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with international stakeholders in administration, royalties, finance, and creative
- Become familiar with the reporting schedules, royalty statements and reporting capabilities of income sources worldwide
- Build income tracking reports to verify accuracy of income collected for mechanical, performance, digital, and any other royalties
- Drive adoption of the reports produced
- Perform desk-top audits, ensuring contracts are accurately implemented
- Apply contractual rates from publishing agreements
- Maintain relationships and resolve inquiries with U.S and international clients regarding royalty statements, payments, and all other matters
- Load and process royalty statements
- Meet all deadlines and any other duties set by supervisor
- Various ad-hoc projects and reports as required
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate for the Income Tracker position will have a BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Math, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in a relevant field
- Proficient in SQL or similar language (Skills test will be required)
- Proficiency in Tableau or similar business intelligence tool
- Demonstrated experience in analysis and reconciliations
- Proficiency with MS Office products, with expert knowledge of Excel (Skills test will be required)
- Familiarity with royalty contracts, royalty calculations, and royalty software a plus
- Knowledge of foreign languages a plus

- Ability to effectively communicate complex projects to non-technical stakeholders
- Analytical aptitude; comfortable working with financial data, calculations, spreadsheets
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and retain detailed information and instructions
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and balance work between multiple projects
- Highly motivated with a desire to work in a team environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills both verbally and written
- Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize and effectively follow through under pressure and/or tight deadlines
