As Dance Marketing Manager at Parlophone you’ll own the Dance lane, collaborating closely with our evolving roster of directly signed artists and label partners to deliver cutting edge globally minded campaigns. With the position’s high focus on Dance and Electronic music, we’re seeking an individual with a great passion and knowledge of the space and its many genres, with strong community connections. You’ll be an active player in our dance A&R conversations and represent Parlophone at the key events on the Dance community’s calendar, whilst continually developing our electronic music offering and strategy. You’ll be dynamic, creative, organized and accountable, with a deep understanding of marketing and consumer behavior and an excellent grasp of streaming and the DSP landscape.
Here you’ll get to:
- Own the dance lane as the primary relationship holder in the UK for our evolving roster of Dance label partners and artist signings.
- Devise creative, attention grabbing marketing strategies to capture both audience and media’s attention. Within both sub and mainstream electronic music culture To build audience, conversation and consumption for your roster of artists. With particular focus on social, content and streaming touchpoints.
- You’ll collaborate closely with internal and external teams including artists, management, labels, digital accounts, promotions, social, sync and brands to craft groundbreaking campaigns.
- You’ll represent Parlophone at key events on the Dance community’s calendar and play an active role in our Dance A&R.
- You’ll continue to develop our Dance offering to ensure we’re providing partners with best in class services across every element of their campaigns.
- You’ll oversee the brand and label strategy for the iconic and recently revitalized FFRR records. Working with our senior A&R team on label, signing and campaign strategies.
- You’ll champion your releases with the commercial and international teams, sharing campaign objectives, delivering powerful updates and participating in the formation of partner marketing strategy.
- Provide leadership, advice and creative planning support to partners in respect of their releases, catalogue and revenue.
- Managing all facets of the release process with a high focus on campaign presentation, commercial objectives and the smooth release of all formats, taking in streaming, digital, physical and D2C; collaborating closely with Sales & Digital, Supply Chain, Ops and Finance to achieve this.
- Actively contribute to our label strategy, bringing your experience and perspective on modern music marketing to both your campaigns and our regular label meetings as a key voice in the Marketing & Label Management team.
- Proven track record delivering successful artist marketing campaigns, with a particular emphasis on Dance genres.
- Passionate and knowledgeable about Dance and Electronic music and culture.
- Dynamic and outcome oriented, with a keen eye for detail and ability to deliver on ideas and objectives.
- Strong awareness of both the online and offline electronic music ecosystem. Including media touchpoints across streaming / social / editorial / club / live / MCN and curator spaces
- Experience working with commercial teams with a particular focus on digital retail and the intersection between audience, marketing and streaming.
- Strong interest in social media and its power to influence commercial behavior.
- A team player with a desire to make a difference and contribute to successful outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, being the primary advocate for your partners and projects.
- Accountable and organized with strong sense of time management.
- Demonstrable experience managing multiple priority projects simultaneously.
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
- 3+ years marketing experience in a label or management company environment.
- A strong network of connections in the industry and wider music community.
- Lateral experience in music, marketing or promotional roles that sets you apart from the competition.
