Octave Group – Music Supervisor (US)

The Music Supervisor  is responsible for the selection of what music is available across our core network. This position will work to identify key releases from established and developing artists and must possess extensive knowledge and appreciation of various musical styles across multiple genres.

As a music expert, you will be making programming decisions based on network trends while analyzing data to prove ROI on those actions. The role reports directly into the Director, Music Programming and works closely with the Product, Licensing, and Marketing teams.

What your day to day looks like:
  • Spearhead the choice of available music content in our consumer music experience.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of our music programming efforts via analytics and reporting.
  • Scout, select, prioritize and accurately classify music orders based upon the most commercially relevant songs, albums, artists as determined by various music charts, label priorities and customer requests.
  • Create, program and refresh select music playlists and background music channels.
  • Take an active role ensuring data integrity on the backend.
  • Manage and fulfill varied music requests from key partners.
  • Collaborate with Product to assist in the development of requirements and testing of new product features specifically tied to music programming, analytics and music merchandising.
  • Manage special projects, as needed.
What you bring to the table:
  • 2-5 years experience of music programming related experience
