Music Licensing Specialist – Netflix (Beverly Hills, US)

At Netflix, we are shaping the future of entertainment because we believe there is a better way to watch. Our Originals strategy is already a key part of our success, and will become more central in the years ahead. The film & television production process is highly complex, and music is an important part of getting a production in on time and on budget. As a music specialist, you love everything music. You spend your free time going to venues, searching the Internet for the next great artists, and nerding away on musicology. You know everyone in the industry; the record labels, the publishers, artists, managers, agents, studios, networks, agencies, marketing teams, producers, post producers, editors, and directors.

You think having several different licenses (synch, master, mechanical, etc.) for the same work makes complete sense and are not phased by the complexity of music copyright ownership. In addition, you love working in an environment where freedom and responsibility is a tenet and passion, innovation and curiosity are mandates.

You seek an environment that places thoughtful efficiency over process yet you know how to work with organizations or institutions who may not hold the same beliefs. Your innate ability to maintain organization fuels your ability to motivate others to follow your lead to help them reach their goals.
