Job Title: Digital Music Marketing Manager


Job Summary :

We are seeking a talented and experienced Digital Music Marketing Manager to join our small and agile team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building brands and audiences across all digital mediums. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in digital marketing, launching/developing new acts online and seeking new opportunities for our roster and label.

As a Digital Music Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to promote our artists, albums, and releases across various digital platforms. You will leverage your expertise in digital marketing, music industry knowledge, and data analytics to drive audience engagement, increase brand visibility, and maximise music sales and streaming.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies to promote music artists, albums, singles, and other releases across digital platforms, including streaming services, social media, websites, and mobile apps.
  • Collaborate with artists, artist managers, and internal stakeholders to understand their goals, target audience, and brand identity, and translate them into effective digital marketing campaigns.
  • Plan and manage digital advertising campaigns, including social media ads, search engine marketing (SEM), influencer marketing, and display advertising, to maximise reach and engagement.
  • Utilise data analytics tools and platforms to track and analyse audience behaviour, engagement metrics, and campaign performance, and make data-driven decisions to optimise marketing strategies and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with influential music bloggers, playlist curators, online publications, and social media influencers to secure coverage, features, and placements for artists and releases.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop compelling and visually appealing digital assets, including videos, graphics, and banners, that align with the artist’s brand and resonate with the target audience.
  • Manage social media accounts and online communities for artists, engaging with fans, responding to inquiries and comments, and fostering a positive and active online presence.
  • Coordinate and oversee the production and distribution of promotional materials, including press releases, artist biographies, and digital press kits, ensuring accuracy and consistency across channels.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in digital marketing and the music industry, and proactively recommend innovative strategies to maximise audience reach and engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including A&R, public relations, and sales, to align marketing efforts and support overall music release strategies.
  • Monitor and report on digital marketing campaign performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting key insights, and making recommendations for continuous improvement.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, music business, communications, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven work experience as a Digital Music Marketing Manager or similar role, with a strong track record of successfully marketing music artists and releases in the digital space.
  • In-depth knowledge of the music industry, including streaming platforms, digital music distribution, music marketing trends, and audience segmentation.
  • Expertise in digital marketing channels and tactics, including social media marketing, influencer marketing, content marketing, paid advertising, and email marketing.
  • Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms, such as social media management tools, analytics platforms, email marketing software, and ad management platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and metrics to extract actionable insights and optimise marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with artists, managers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Creativity and a keen eye for visual aesthetics, with the ability to develop engaging digital content and assets.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Passion for music and a deep understanding of various music genres and fan cultures.
  • Results-driven mindset, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Knowledge of using adobe creative suite will be beneficial but not essential.
