Director, Commerce & Streaming – MNRK (New York or Los Angeles)

MNRK Music Group is seeking a dynamic candidate to add to our Commerce & Streaming team. As the Director, Commerce & Streaming, you are well-versed in account management, music marketing, content strategy, analytics, and digital distribution to represent the MNRK roster to the Digital Service Providers (DSPs).
What You Will Be Doing
- DSP account management including but not limited to:
- Soliciting editorial staff at DSPs to secure playlisting/other programming features for new releases & catalog
- Creating and maintaining DSP pitches into corresponding DPS dashboards/pitch portals
- Disseminating digital consumption data and related analytics across a range of resources; identifying KPI’s into actionable strategic planning for new releases and catalog
- Identifying additional cross-platform programming and other distribution opportunities to drive album promotion
- Providing weekly recaps of placements and marketing support at DSP’s
- Artist profile optimization across designated DSP base
- Expanding existing partner network by building new relationships with key DSP stakeholders and other related industry affiliates
- Collaborating with Project Management and Marketing team on optimizing content strategy to drive additional awareness and consumption at the DSPs
- Participating and contributing on label, artist, and management meetings by relaying best practices, artist KPI’s and industry/DSP trends
- Tracking timelines and key deliverables for multiple artists with active album cycles to ensure timely and accurate release execution
- Monitoring and communicating trends, features and lifestyle campaigns on streaming and social platforms which raise an artist’s brand profile, aggregates and activates fans to consume music, content engagement and direct-to-fan e-commerce initiatives
What Makes You Qualified
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years music industry experience in account management at a record label, distributor, or DSP/digital platform
- Established relationships with DSPs (Spotify, Apple, Amazon, YouTube…) and other key digital platforms (TikTok,Facebook/Instagram, Pandora, Vevo…)
- Tech savvy command of business software (Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, Asana…), cloud-based and virtual meeting software (MS Onedrive, Google Docs/Drive, Airtable, Box, Zoom…) and analytics platforms (Spotify for
- Artists, Chartmetric, Luminate…)
- Understanding of music industry-specific tools, resources, and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on multiple priorities and identify new business opportunities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Superior attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications, and interpersonal skills
- Capacity to identify a value proposition, support with key data and craft pitch materials
- Articulate and charismatic presentation skills
