Position: Bookings and Admin Assistant
Location: Miloco Studios HQ, Bermondsey, London
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Overview
Working within the bookings and finance teams, you will be responsible for fielding enquiries, managing our backend bookings systems, liaising with clients, and coordinating sessions across the studios on our roster. There will also be some administrative support and financial work, including raising invoices, checking purchases, maintaining spreadsheets and other ad-hoc tasks.
You will need to have excellent organisational, communication and negotiation skills. You will also be required to quickly learn the selling points of all our studios and freelance studio staff to promote them to a high, professional standard.
You will need to learn our administrative systems and processes and have an excellent attention to detail. The successful applicant will be approachable and friendly, with the ability to keep calm and be firm under high-pressure situations. This is an important role at the company, both challenging and rewarding, but can require long hours to be worked.
A passion for music and the recording industry is essential. Any previous experience in recording studios is a plus.
Role & Responsibilities
- Handling enquiries, managing studio diaries and acting as a point of contact for clients wishing to make studio bookings and other requests
- Raising sales invoices and communicating with accounts departments
- Checking purchase invoices and posting to finance software (Quickbooks)
- Acting as a point of contact with our team of in-house engineers and assistants to ensure the smooth running of all sessions.
- Management of session sheets and other administrative systems
- Negotiating studio rates and engineer fees with clients on each individual session.
- Maintaining a rapport with our many clients – producers, engineers, record labels, management companies and publishers.
